Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician directions. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. As an educator, the therapist will engage with patients, families, students, and coworkers while adhering to the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on timely discharge.
- Document medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Provide care under valid physician orders, ensuring adherence to insurance approvals as necessary.
- Participate in the education and supervision of students within the program.
- Create and pursue an individualized professional development plan, actively seeking continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
- Maintain professional licensure and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
- Understand and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives, offering feedback for improved service delivery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8 schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
