Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

The position requires the nurse to work 3x12-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM. On-call shifts may be required for up to 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work within a level-one academic trauma center, providing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will be responsible for both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures across various specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions pre- and post-operatively.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS required; Radiation badge will be provided by the agency.
• Experience scrub nursing preferred.
