Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 12-hour rotating, covering both day and evening schedules. The schedule includes:

• 4 ten-hour days (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM) or 3 twelve-hour days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
• One or two calls scheduled during the week from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM.
• One full weekend of call every 5 weeks.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular OR Registered Nurse will provide critical care in the operating room for cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries. The role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the unit and patient care, as well as potential floating to other OR suites such as general, ortho, neuro, or ENT if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Circulating in the operating room for cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensuring high standards of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to deliver optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required; CNOR is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR nursing is required.
• Prior travel experience is necessary.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Experience in a large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital is required.
• Must be able to explain any employment gaps over 90 days.
