Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekdays and some weekends.

Job Description

The Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN will monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health management and recovery.
• Respond to emergencies and support rapid response teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in Med/Surg/Tele and 2 years in Stepdown.
• Active RN license in West Virginia or a compact license.
• Current certifications: BCLS and ACLS.
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry interpretation.
