Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote effective community reintegration. This role also includes educating patients, families, and coworkers while upholding professional standards and compliance with the organizational Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address discharge barriers and plan for continuing services.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Participate in student mentorship programs and provide a positive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development through education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.
