Job Description

The Labor and Delivery unit consists of 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, and 6 triage rooms, along with 3 L&D ORs. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to labor and delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients throughout their delivery experience.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and utilize appropriate equipment including FHR monitors and fetal scalp electrodes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• AWHONN or EFM certification preferred.
• Experience in Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or NICU is a plus.
