Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating Shifts: Days/Nights, every other weekend, 3x12 hour shifts.

Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the management of clinical and other activities in assigned behavioral health units, including both adolescent and geriatric patient populations. As a key member of the nursing team, the RN will implement the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and monitor capital, personnel, and operating budgets.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Supervise employees in the delivery of care in a 44-bed inpatient psychiatric facility.
• Plan and coordinate orientation and educational needs of staff.
• Maintain a collaborative working relationship with other healthcare disciplines.
• Promote positive public relations as a representative of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient adolescent psychiatric experience required (ages 14-17).
• De-escalation training/certification required; SAFE Training Course available onsite if needed.
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN License.
