Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing basic ultrasound procedures including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, and breast scans. The role involves scanning pediatric to adult patients and performing common invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound imaging in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information.
• Collaborate with medical staff to discuss patient conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in a community hospital setting.
• Current ARDMS and BLS certifications required.
• New York state license must be in hand to submit.
• EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement.
