Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients requiring respiratory therapy.
• Utilize equipment such as oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP & BIPAP machines.
• Evaluate patient conditions and respond accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience is required.
• Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
• Stroke education and experience & NRP certifications are a plus.
