Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician direction. This role requires effective delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional programs for patients' successful return to community activities. Additionally, the therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues while upholding safety standards and organizational compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to develop effective treatment plans and goals.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in the education and supervision of students in clinical settings.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to discipline-specific practice acts.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and pursue continuing education.
- Promote a patient safety focus across all therapy practices.
- Collaborate with team members to improve quality and performance standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active physical therapy license for the state of practice.
Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
