Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule from 07:00 to 17:30; 5x8-hour option available.

Job Description

The Inpatient Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) RN is a key member of the wound care team, responsible for providing specialized nursing care for patients with pressure injuries, chronic/acute wounds, and ostomies. The WOCN will conduct daily rounds on 4 to 5 units, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and management of various wounds and ostomies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care and management.
• Participate in team rounds and report on patient progress.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care or related nursing field; first-time travelers with strong experience may be accepted.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification preferred.
