Registered Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Job Description

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy and patient care following physician's orders, hospital policies and procedures, as well as departmental standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
• Evaluate patient/resident response to respiratory therapy and take appropriate corrective action.
• Provide education to patients and staff regarding respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions.
• Conduct routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment.
• Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to the work.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - REQUIRED
• Ventilator, BiPAP, ICU, ER, and ABG trained therapist - REQUIRED
• ACLS certification - PREFERRED
• BLS certification
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
• State Licensure: Michigan
