Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating and call required.

Job Description

The position involves providing general med-surg nursing duties within an inpatient nursing unit. Nurses may occasionally care for non-critical pediatric patients. The role requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients' conditions, implementing nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using MedHost EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with 2+ years of Med/Surg experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance required for New Mexico travelers, as the process can take several weeks.
