Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend shifts every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Antepartum and Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality care to high-risk obstetrical patients. The ideal candidate will be actively engaged in patient management, support, and education while maintaining a safe and effective nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to high-risk obstetrical patients.
• Monitor and assess the condition of patients and their fetuses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding antepartum care and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
• Assist in managing complex patient needs and potential emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery or Antepartum experience.
• Current Texas RN license (temporary license not accepted).
• BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required.
• Experience with magnesium sulfate management and preterm labor management is preferred.
