Job Description

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions and test results.
• Assist patients with mobility restraints and transferring for enhanced safety.
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes as necessary.
• Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures, maintaining patient privacy at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Must hold an active license or plan to test for licensure in the state.
• Continuing education courses preferred.
