Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote effective returns to community activities. Educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self is also a key aspect of this position. The therapist will demonstrate behaviors consistent with the organization’s mission and core values, ensuring compliance with the organizational code of conduct and maintaining professionalism throughout their responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document care provided in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
- Participate in student programs, providing appropriate supervision and development of learning objectives.
- Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
- Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
- Understand and apply organizational performance improvement methodology.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
