Registered Nurse - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description

Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) with focus on critical care patients. Responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and health status.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assist with complex procedures and monitor post-procedure recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate records in Cerner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ICU experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• Advanced skills in titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, and telemetry interpretation.
• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation required.
• Certifications such as CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT are appreciated but not required.
