Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensures the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. Additionally, the role serves as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document all medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing evaluations.
- Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study, applying learned information to meet organizational objectives.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing, completing all mandated continuing education requirements.
- Understand performance improvement methodologies and follow through with action plans for service quality enhancement.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
Schedule
This position offers a 5x8 hour shift, starting in July.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
