Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
• Provide education to patients, families, students, and coworkers regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.
• Participate in student training programs and provide supervision, guidance, and assessments as needed.
• Actively create and pursue a professional development plan aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of performance improvement initiatives and contribute to maximizing performance outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for the practice of physical therapy.

Schedule

This position requires a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
