Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic & General Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (07:00 - 15:00) with on-call required 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month.

Job Description

The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in the orthopedic and general surgery units. The RN will be responsible for administering medications, conducting assessments, and delivering patient education across diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following established protocols.
• Assist with various surgical procedures including orthopedic surgeries.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and aftercare.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Active RN license (Compact license preferred).
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Travel experience is required.
