Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a full-time position with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care based on the age-specific needs of the patient population served. This role ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance aligned with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, while treating colleagues, physicians, patients, and families with respect.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
• Develop and implement measurable individualized plans of care for patients within established timeframes.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes; modify care plans as needed.
• Participate in patient and significant other health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification via AHA.
• ACLS Certification via AHA.
• TNCC Certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served.
