This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

AM 5 × 8 hr shifts, totaling 40 hrs/week, with potential weekend shifts when assigned to the Mobile Mammography Van.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist performs medical mammograms to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsibilities include programming the mammography machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion. The technologist prepares, maintains, and operates mammography equipment safely, following radiation safety guidelines, and performs all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical mammograms for diagnosis.
• Program mammography equipment for optimal imaging parameters.
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment safely.
• Conduct and document all QA/QC tests as per MQSA requirements.
• Work on the Mobile Mammography Van as required, including weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program Required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required.
• 1 year experience in Mammography Preferred.
• ARRT certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire.
• Registered Technologist (R) (M) Required.
• Mammo Quality Standards Act Requirement.
• Basic Life Support Certification Required.
