Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care to patients in a Level II Trauma Center environment. This role requires the therapist to float between like units as needed and actively participate in delivering high-quality respiratory care across diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and provide appropriate interventions for patients.
• Administer various respiratory therapies and medications, including aerosol treatments, CPAP, and BiPAP.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform intubation and extubation procedures as needed.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust patient care based on the results.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with a focus on adult critical care, emergency room, and NICU preferred.
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred).
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
