Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides treatment, care, and evaluation of patients with respiratory insufficiencies. The position is responsible for administering therapies for conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema in a dynamic acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments using various equipment including oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, CPAP and BIPAP machines.
• Manage documentation through Meditech.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and responses to respiratory treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an NBRC credential and a valid RT license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• A minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience required.
• Previous travel assignments preferred.
