ICU Registered Nurse - Days

4x12-Hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is ideal for a nurse who has a strong background in critical care and is comfortable with a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, participating in interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide assistance with procedures such as arterial line management and chest tube insertion/removal.
• Maintain ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, ABGs, and dysrhythmias.
• Participate in care protocols for stroke management and infection prevention.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the charting system.
• Float to other units as needed, ensuring continuity of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico or compact state.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with common equipment and procedures in ICU settings required.
