This is a 13-week contract position with a Day 3x12-Hour shift from 06:00 - 18:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Open Heart Surgical Technologist to join our team. Candidates must have a strong background in cardiovascular operating room procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The position requires alternating days off, 1-2 call days per week with a 30-minute response required, and weekend coverage every third or fourth weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of open heart surgery as a scrub technician.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments.
• Support the surgical team with effective communication and coordination.
• Respond to urgent call situations promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• BLS certification is required; AHA or ARC only accepted.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is heavily preferred.
• Must be able to comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
