Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

This position requires a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

Join our dynamic Surgical Unit, providing outstanding care to surgical patients. You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment focused on efficient patient management and excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites.
• Wound care including packing, dressing changes, and maintenance of wound vacs.
• Care for Foley Catheters and manage continuous bladder irrigation.
• Change and maintain ostomy appliances.
• Insert and manage nasogastric tubes.
• Administer TPN and manage blood administration.
• Perform central line care and dressing changes.
• Conduct bedside shift reports to ensure seamless care transitions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven time management and efficiency skills.
• Experience in teamwork-based settings.
• Background in post-operative surgical care is preferred, specifically in vascular, bariatric, urology, colorectal, or general surgeries.
