Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs aimed at facilitating an effective return to community activities. The position also includes educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while performing other professional duties related to patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment with supervision and feedback.
• Develop and pursue an individualized professional development plan.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active license for the State where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
