Certified Radiation Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position typically operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility may be required based on patient volume, and call duties will include evenings and weekends, rotating with two therapists.

Job Description

The Certified Radiation Therapist will work in an acute care setting, utilizing advanced technologies including the Varian Edge with HyperSight and Identify, Varian Ethos with Vision RT, Siemens Go Open Pro Simulator, and the Aria Record and Verify System. The team manages an average patient volume of 50 per day and will take call for major holidays, ensuring a fair rotation among staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic services to oncology patients.
• Utilize specialized equipment for radiation therapy planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with oncology teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current certification as a Radiation Therapist by the ARRT (T).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Licensure requirements as dictated by local regulations.
• Experience with Varian and Siemens equipment preferred.
