Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Nights

This position is for Night shifts, 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00) with options of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for medical-surgical patients, including those recovering from strokes and surgeries. The nurse will work in a telemetry-monitored environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients, particularly stroke and surgical patients.
• Monitor patient telemetry as part of a 24/7 central monitoring system.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide wound care and manage surgical drains.
• Float to other units as necessary based on patient care needs.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS and NIHSS are required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
