Lead CT Therapist - Radiation Therapy

AM Shift: 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday

Job Description

The Lead CT Therapist is responsible for accurately delivering the planned course of radiation therapy and operating treatment units with minimal supervision. This role requires maintaining effective communication with patients during treatment, performing daily and monthly QA procedures, and accurately executing complex procedures including IGRT and SBRT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy while operating treatment units safely and accurately.
• Communicate visually and audibly with patients throughout treatment sessions.
• Perform CT simulations and construct immobilization devices as needed, following department protocols.
• Train and mentor other therapists in CT/Simulation procedures and SBRT techniques.
• Maintain and verify all treatment management records and ensure accuracy in MOSAIQ.
• Follow department safety policies and practices, including the ALARA principle for radiation protection.
• Safely operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery and maintain records of treatment activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Successful completion of an approved course in Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT certification and registration.
• Strongly preferred experience using IMRT, 3D and SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT.
