AM Shift: 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering the planned course of radiation therapy, accurately operating treatment units, and maintaining communication with patients during treatment. This role involves performing quality assurance checks, simulating patients for therapy, and maintaining accurate treatment records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned radiation therapy with minimal supervision.
• Perform daily and monthly quality assurance for linac and CT machines.
• Conduct CT simulations and construct immobilization devices as needed.
• Train other therapists in CT simulation protocols and quality assurance processes.
• Manage daily treatment records and ensure accuracy in patient information.
• Follow department policies and safety standards, reporting any equipment malfunctions.
• Operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery and generate necessary documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Successful completion of an approved course in Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT certified and registered.
• Experience with IMRT, 3D, SRS and SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT preferred.
