Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time, Evenings

Full Time Evenings, 37.5 hours per week. Must be able to start full shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients within the adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident ADL needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, elimination needs, and skin care.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, including prompt response to call lights, fall prevention, and equipment monitoring.
• Assist with meeting residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding while honoring preferences.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion exercises, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
• Report residents' rights, concerns, and any changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Nursing Assistant Certification (NYS NA Certification) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or RQI certificates only).
• One (1) year of previous long-term care (LTC) experience is required.
