Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization. He/she treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect while demonstrating quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care based on the specific needs of the patient population.
• Ensure quality care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and procedures.
• Promote patient rights and advocate for their needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
