Med Surg Float Pool Nurse

Schedule

This position requires a Night Shift schedule, consisting of 3 × 12-hour shifts from 19:00 – 07:30, totaling 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Med Surg Float Pool Nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across inpatient Medical-Surgical units and step down units.
• Quickly adapt to varying patient populations and unit workflows.
• Uphold hospital policies and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required; TNCC and ACLS preferred.
• Strong proficiency in EPIC is required.
