Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

This is a Night 3x12-Hour shift position from 19:00 to 07:00. A 4x12-hour schedule may be requested.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in labor and post-partum care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
• Manage high-risk antepartum patients effectively.
• Administer medications and perform direct patient care related to obstetrical scenarios.
• Conduct triage of obstetrical patients and perform sterile vaginal exams.
• Use intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration as required.
• Provide support and education to patients and families regarding labor and delivery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current RN license valid in California.
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP.
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
