Contract RN - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with call requirements of one day per week and two weekends per schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care and support to patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages. Nurses in this role must have a strong background in Labor & Delivery, including experience in circulating the OR for C-section deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
• Assist with C-sections and other surgical procedures as necessary.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered.
• Educate and support patients and families during the birthing process.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery is mandatory.
• Background in postpartum care is preferred.
