Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct nursing care to general medical and surgical patients, including those undergoing short-stay procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and stroke management. The nurse will also be responsible for caring for patients on remote telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and EKGs.
• Perform IV insertions and Foley catheter placements.
• Conduct point-of-care testing, such as blood glucose monitoring.
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and other emergent procedures.
• Document patient assessments and care in the electronic medical record (EMR - Cerner).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Active state nursing license required; candidates with pending licenses will be considered.
