Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct nursing care for General Medical and Surgical patients, including short stay procedures, orthopedic, and stroke patients. The role also encompasses caring for remote telemetry monitored patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vital signs and assessments, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
• Performing EKGs, IV insertions, Foley insertions, and administering medications.
• Assisting with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) and conducting point-of-care testing such as blood glucose monitoring.
• Ensuring adherence to floating requirements as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification are mandatory.
• A valid RN license is required.
