Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist residents in a long-term care setting with daily living needs, contributing to their overall well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting following the care plan.
• Maintain resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
• Support residents with meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Measure and record weight, intake, and output.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents through interaction.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and rights at all times.
• Report resident concerns or changes promptly to the nurse.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.

Schedule

This position requires you to work five 7.5-hour shifts per week, including day and evening rotations, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification (must be through AHA or RQI).
