Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist residents in a long-term care setting with daily living needs, contributing to their overall well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living needs such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting following the care plan.
- Maintain resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
- Support residents with meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Measure and record weight, intake, and output.
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents through interaction.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and rights at all times.
- Report resident concerns or changes promptly to the nurse.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Schedule
This position requires you to work five 7.5-hour shifts per week, including day and evening rotations, with every other weekend and holiday required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
- BLS certification (must be through AHA or RQI).
