Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit, you will be committed to providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric and adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to help within a collaborative healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients in the Med/Surg unit with a typical ratio of 6:1.
• Utilizing medical equipment such as Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors.
• Documenting patient information using Cerner EHR.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Providing support and guidance to nursing aides and other support staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is recommended.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• PALS certification preferred for core staff.
• Telemetry experience is preferred.
