Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery, and will primarily serve in a circulating position. Scrub experience is a valuable additional skill.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide pre and post-operative education.
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Monitor the patient's physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical process.
• Integrate and coordinate patient care across the surgical care continuum.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience in vascular, orthopedic trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, or ENT.
• Proven travel experience.
• Epic experience is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Both scrub and circulating experience required.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
• MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
