Registered Nurse - Mother and Baby Care

Schedule

Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, guaranteed 36 hours per week (3x12). This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with mother and baby experience to provide compassionate care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to mothers and their newborns during the postpartum phase.
• Perform vaginal examinations and provide postpartum assessments.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rate using basic and advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
• Administer medications and provide education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid RN License; BSN degree preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP; Basic/AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred.
• Previous mother and baby experience, postpartum care, and vaginal examination experience are advantageous.
• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
