Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide quality nursing care to all patients while serving as an integral member of the nursing staff within a Long Term Care facility. The role involves ensuring patient rights and dignity are respected, as well as fulfilling various duties as assigned based on the specific area within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to all patients.
• Assist in maintaining patient’s rights and ensuring their dignity is upheld.
• Utilize scope of practice effectively as part of the nursing team.
• Participate in special committees as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and other medical staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an LNL school for LPN's or LVN's.
• New graduates are accepted; one year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Current LPN licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska.
• Current CPR certification (BCLS) required.
• IV certification course is required.

Schedule

This position will require a night shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
