Day and Night rotating shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients on a telemetry unit, ensuring safety, quality, and satisfaction. The role includes monitoring patients' vital signs, performing assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Candidates are expected to work every other holiday as part of the team’s commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient telemetry data and vital signs to detect any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg telemetry experience required.
• 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignment.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
