Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Schedule

This position requires every weekend, with full-time evening shifts, consisting of 5 days at 7.5 hours each.

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. This role ensures that the needs of adult and geriatric patients are met according to the care plan and relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment as outlined in the care plan, including prompt response to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery and feeding as needed.
• Facilitate rehabilitative needs including range of motion exercises and ambulation.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
• Adhere to protocols related to occupational exposures and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess New York State Nursing Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of long-term care (LTC) experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
