Job Description

The Nursing Assistant, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided while embracing core values of the company. This position prioritizes patient and employee safety, maintaining a safe environment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and employee safety with a focus on the 10 Foot Circle of Safety.
• Follow all facility guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in menu management systems, preparing and delivering patient menus according to prescribed diets.
• Assist patients in menu selections compliant with dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues effectively to the appropriate department.
• Maintain organization and efficiency of the Food & Nutrition office, including clerical tasks.
• Attend in-services and departmental meetings as required.
• Assist trayline, food service aides or catering as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested to support patient care and departmental operations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• BLS certification required (specific to CIRH unless required by the state).

Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule with 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
