Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM, rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. This role is crucial in ensuring patient and employee safety, embodying the core values of providing superior quality care, treating others with respect, and working collaboratively as a team.

Responsibilities

• Promote Patient and Employee Safety within a 10 Foot Circle of Safety.
• Assist patients in menu selections compliant with prescribed diets, including validating diet changes in the patient menu system.
• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus and menu selections.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues effectively to the department.
• Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office, including answering phones, filing, and maintaining organization.
• Participate in departmental meetings and complete required in-services.
• Assist trayline, food service aides, or catering as needed.
• Follow all facility guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
• BLS certification is required for specific facilities as per state regulations.
