Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Part Time

Schedule

Part Time (37.5 Hours/Biweekly; 3 shifts/2 shifts rotation). Must be able to attend first-day orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential support to residents by ensuring their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are met in accordance with policies and procedures. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Ensure resident safety and comfort by maintaining a clean environment and addressing any safety hazards promptly.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs by providing assistance with meal delivery and respecting individual preferences.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs through proper body alignment, transfers, and mobility assistance.
• Report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI) required.
• One year of previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) as a CNA.
• Must hold a valid nursing assistant license for at least one year.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
