Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time, Evenings

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) will perform direct and indirect designated resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. This position is vital in ensuring that residents receive appropriate care based on their age-specific needs, and requires a strong understanding of the principles of growth and development throughout the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) needs as outlined in their care plans.
• Maintain the residents' environment and safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met, including meal preparation and adaptive equipment use.
• Facilitate residents' rehabilitative needs according to their care plans.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
• Identify changes in the resident's physical, emotional, and psychosocial status and report them promptly.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring evening shifts, specifically a 5x7.5 schedule. Orientation must begin on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS CNA Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
• One (1) year of experience in long-term care (LTC) as a CNA is required.
